TACTICAL P.I. RIFLE
ATTRIBUTES of DESIGN FOR ENHANCED ACCURACY and PERFORMANCE POTENTIAL:
For rigidity, strength and stability, this rifle is built around the SUPER BREECH one piece barrel and breech unit
The barrel is screwed and dowel pinned to a solid precision machined
aluminum bedding block and rigid dual tubular aluminum forend assembly.
The barrel is 100% free floating and is open to air circulation all
around for uniform cooling.
The wide, rigid tubular aluminum forend is sheathed in rubber to provide
a firm yet non-slip resting surface which is very stable when shooting
from a bench. See photo at left.
Scope mounting blocks as shown on this rifle are dowel pinned as well
as screwed in place to assure that no movement can occur during recoil.
The butt stock assembly is adjustable for length of pull and is made
from thin walled tubular and solid steel and aluminum machined components.
The assembly slides into and shoulders solidly against the rear breech
face and is held firmly in place with a screw and steel clamping plate.
The comb of the butt stock assembly is made from elastomeric foam rubber
which provides a comfortable cheek rest. The recoil pad as used on this
rifle is of large size which distributes recoil force over maximum surface
area for reduction of possible discomfort to the shooter.
Since the comb / butt stock is on the same centerline as the barrel,
recoil forces are directed along a straight line which reduces muzzle jump
for increased accuracy potential and more comfortable shooting.
The grip stock is solid molded from high impact strength
urethane and is designed for a comfortable grip and trigger finger position.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS:
CALIBER: .45 or.50 Cal.
BARREL: Douglas Premium XX Grade Stainless or Chrome Moly steel.
EFFECTIVE BARREL LENGTH: Up to 30 inches. 18 inches minimum. The rifle
shown has an effective barrel length of 24 1/4 inches. Effective barrel
length is measured from the breech plug face to the barrel face.
APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: 10 lbs for rifle shown. Heavier with increased
barrel length. Rifle shown with scope, bi-pod and sling weighs approximately
13 lbs.
LENGTH of PULL: Adjustable between 13 & 15 inches. The rifle
shown is set at 14 inches.
COMB HEIGHT: 1 inch above barrel centerline.
OVERALL LENGTH: 46 1/2 inches for rifle with 28 inch effective length
barrel. Add approximately 2 inches if muzzle brake is used.
MUZZLE BRAKE: The rifle is available with or without a muzzle brake.
The muzzle brake is easily removable. For rifles supplied
with a muzzle brake, a cosmetic sleeve is provided to cover barrel muzzle
threads when the brake is not in use.
MISCELLANEOUS: This rifle is provided with custom steel scope
mount riser blocks as shown on this rifle as well as Weaver
Grand-Slam steel scope mount blocks. Quick detachable
sling swivels are also provided. The rifle is NOT provided with a sling,
bi-pod or scope.
This rifle is available with either left or right hand ramrod positioning.
