CLASSIC STYLE RIFLE
The rifle shown in these pictures is a test rifle built
on the old style breech and barrel system. Although it is not a Super Breech
version rifle, it is very accurate as are all Swing-Lock rifles. All current
rifles utilize the Super Breech design.
The wires leading from a strain gage attached to the barrel are for
pressure trace readings during load developement and are not present on new
rifles.
This style rifle is available in either left or right hand versions.
Stocks of laminated birch or any other suitable type of wood can be provided
as well as the synthetic version shown.
The ramrod for the rifle seen in the profile view on the home page,
is a telescoping rod which is extended to full length after removal from the
forend. The rifle may be provided without a ramrod and ramrod cut-out / hole
if the customer so desires at a reduced cost or the rifle may be provided
with a ramrod under the barrel if prefered over the telescoping rod. Ramrods
are typically placed along the side in Swing-Lock rifles which allows for
a free floated barrel.

BARREL: Douglas Premium XX Stainless or Chrome Moly Steel
BARREL LENGTH: Up to 30 inches. 18 inches minimum. The rifle shown is 26
inches.
STOCK: Synthetic, Laminated Birch or other suitable wood. Black textured
finish synthetic shown.
LENGTH of PULL: Length of Pull may be specified by customer. The rifle
shown is 14 inches.
OVERALL LENGTH: Approximately 42 1/2 inches with 26 inch barrel
and 14 inch length of pull.
WEIGHT: The weight of the rifle shown is 9 lbs 3 oz. See note below.
Note: Because Swing-Lock synthetic stocks are solid cast, they are heavier
than wood stocks. The rifle shown would weigh at least 1 lb less in wood.
